Activate your critical thinking and creativity skills through the use of the Hummingbird Bit Robotics Kit in this introductory workshop. Educators will engage in hands-on learning with the lights, sensors, and motors included in the Hummingbird Bit kit. You will be making, building and coding to create simple prototypes and explore connections to content areas. The Computer Science Professional Development Incentive Fund is paying for participants to leave with one Hummingbird Bit kit for their classroom as well as access to check out a full classroom kit through the district office. To participate in the course, teachers will also need to register through GWAEA for course #180365 and section #271282. Please enter "180365" when asked for a PO number to register.

Outcome #1: The participant will learn the basic components of the Hummingbird Bit kit.
Outcome #2: The participant will learn how to create and build with the tools and cardboard to create and code a simple robot.
